The hardest thing about working from home is to find ways to stay productive, am I right?

When I start working from home, staying focus, and productive was a challenge. I was always thinking of what I could do in the house. Do I have laundry to do or something to clean?

Sometimes, I caught myself thinking about what I was about to eat for lunch when it was only 10 am.
I was procrastinating! It requires serious skills and a strong routine.

Thus, I am sharing today my best work from home tips.
So, how to stay productive while working remotely? Find out the 5 ways I do it, every day.

START A SOLID MORNING ROUTINE

It sounds a little obvious but this is the first and best tip I can give you.

Starting your day the same way will get your mind and body ready for it.

Your beautiful soul, and the human-machine, will thank you for this routine. And, will help you, get through the day.

If you do not have a morning routine yet and want to start building a solid one? And, stay productive while working remotely?
Follow those easy steps:

WAKE UP EARLY AND WORK OUT

Easy to say, harder to do? NO!

It will be difficult the first couple of days but trust me, your body will get used to it quickly.

After a week or two, you are going to start waking up by yourself! This is the first step of a strong morning routine.

RELATED: FITNESS EQUIPMENT: WHAT DO YOU NEED TO START WORKING OUT?

My morning routine looks like this: I woke up at 5:30, get ready for my homework out at 6 am. I usually work out for about, 30 to 45 minutes. Then I shower and get dressed.

Around 7:30/8 am, I eat my breakfast, and by 8:30 am I am ready to kill my workday!!
I have the same routine Monday to Friday, and I try to stay close to it during the weekend.

The secret of my early morning routine is my early night routine.
Makes sense, right? You can’t expect to wake up at 5:30 am and stay productive working remotely when going to bed at midnight.

You can do this!

DON’T USE YOUR PHONE BEFORE BREAKFAST

You just woke up, and don’t want to stress yourself with emails, text, and more.

Take the time in the morning to wake up, drink a glass of water, do your work out.

While sipping your coffee and making your toast, turn on your phone and start scrolling!

SET UP YOUR GOALS FOR THE DAY

It’s time to take your planner or your notebook and start listing things you need to do during the day.

I recommend, always start with the very important tasks and the one that you don’t want to do, FIRST.

Once you took care of those tasks, you are going to feel accomplished and will be motivated to keep ongoing.

TAKE 2 TO 3 BREAKS DURING THE DAY

Is it possible to stay positive while working remotely without taking a couple of breaks?

Your body needs to move! So, take those quick breaks and let your brain breathe and stretch your legs.
Here is how you do it:

Pinterest-services

1- MORNING BREAK

Set up an alarm at 10:30 am and take your first break.

In the morning a 10 to 15 minutes break is enough.

So, go make yourself a cup of coffee or tea, sit outside or walk around the house, and then go back to work!

2- LUNCH BREAK

Go away from your home office! Do not eat at your DESK.

The best way to stay productive, while working remotely is to know when to leave your workspace.

Going away from your desk to eat your lunch is a MUST!

Thus, take an hour’s break for lunch, call a friend, and let your brain cool down.

3- AFTERNOON BREAK

Now, it’s time to set up your afternoon alarm around 3 pm.

You need to stretch those legs once more.

So, go on a 30 minutes’ walk.

Go get your mail or walk your dog in the neighborhood!

Afterward, you can go back sit down, and finishing up your work.

SWITCH WORKSPACE – MOVE AROUND YOUR HOUSE!

Working in different areas of your house will help stay focus.

Staying in the same place for a long period of time can drive you insane.

There are three spots in my house, where I love to work:

1- LIVING ROOM

This is my morning spot. I get my cup of coffee and go on the couch with my phone, and my computer.

I start organizing my day, answering some of my emails, until my 10 am break.

Then, I would switch places.

2- OFFICE

I have the chance to have a home office that I love working in.

So, right after my morning break, I always go back to my office and start working on my important tasks.

3- KITCHEN OR BACKPORCH

After your afternoon break, take your work in your kitchen or outside and finish up your day there.

Being away from your normal workspace before kicking off your day, will help you stay focus until the end.

BE SMART ON WHEN TO USE YOUR PHONE

People out there will tell you to not use or turn off your phone.

But, when your work is about social media like me, it’s kind of hard to not be on your phone. You need to be SMART about, how and when using your phone while working remotely.

If you need to be on your phone for some reason during your work hours, then, set up a 20 minutes timer every two hours or so. That way, you will have a limit, and won’t get lost on Instagram, scrolling without looking on your feed for an hour!

MAKE LISTS TO STAY PRODUCTIVE WHILE WORKING REMOTELY

My last tip for you is to make LISTS.

You do not want to think about work after the day is over.

So, before closing your computer and turning off the lights. You need to write down the things that you need to do the next day.

You can also open your notebook, and start making lists of everything that’s going on in your mind.

It can be, grocery list, random ideas for the house, for work, etc.

What I am trying to say here, is to try to empty your head from all the things that bother you or scared to forget. Make lists will help you get a night of better sleep. And if you feel rested you will be on the right path for productivity!

If you are working from home, let me know what’s your best tip to stay focus?

NUMBER ONE OF MY 5 BEST AMAZON FINDS

USB CHARGING STAND

I have purchased two of those about 2 years ago and I cannot live without it.
My husband and I, both own an iPhone and an iWatch, that we need to charge every night.
Not being able to see those cables everywhere is super nice.

I have to leave my phone and my watch on the charging stand. It helps me stop using electronics as soon as I get into my bed.
This one is Bamboo wood and cost $19.99

NUMBER 2 OF MY 5 BEST AMAZON FINDS

LAP DESK WORKSTATION

I have been using this Lap desk for as long as I remember.
I work from home and have a home office.

This is nice to be able to work on my couch or in my bed. (Trying to avoid doing that).

Lately, I have been using the lap desk on my desk. It sounds weird, right? I am doing it because it has an adjustable top.

I got this lap desk for about $30.

Mine is currently unavailable but I found a similar product : CLICK HERE

NUMBER 3 OF MY 5 BEST AMAZON FINDS:

WASHABLE HEADPHONE COVERS

Headphones are EXPENSIVE, especially BEATS.
When I started going to the gym and sweat my butt off. I got frustrated about the fact that I couldn’t wash my headphone’s cushion pads.

Finding those cute washable headphone covers on AMAZON, changed the game.
I am not worried about sweating in my headphones anymore, now that I know I can wash those covers off.
You can get those washable headphone covers for $19.98

NUMBER 4 OF MY 5 BEST AMAZON FINDS:

STYLUS DIGITAL PEN

Best purchase of the year 2019. Let me explain why.
I have an iPad that I use EVERY DAY. My computer and my iPad are my work tools!
I use my iPad to design and create content. To do so, I used to use my fingers.

One day, I got tired of using my fingers because I couldn’t see what I was doing. Even so, my hands are pretty small!
I decided it was time for me to invest in an Apple Pencil.
While doing my research, I’ve learned that my iPad was too old (2017) to use an Apple Pencil

Apple Pencil could only work with a newer iPad, also I couldn’t justify spending $100 for it.
Then, I found the Evach Active Stylus Digital Pen and I fell IN LOVE.
This is the best stylus I have owned, and I would buy It again and again.
If I have to update my iPad, I will stay with this stylus over the Apple Pencil.

This stylus is compatible with iPad, iPhone, Samsung, Tablets, and costs only $31.98

NUMBER 5 OF MY 5 BEST AMAZON FINDS:

BLUE LIGHT BLOCKING GLASSES

I spend most of my time on my computer, iPad, and iPhone.
Getting headaches and not be able to fall asleep at night use to be the story of my life.
Yet, since I bought those, my eyes are less itchy and I don’t have random headaches in the middle of the day. Also, I fall asleep way faster than I used too.

I wear those glasses so much that I purchased four of them already!
The blue light blocking glasses I wear those days are about $19.99.

Hope you liked The BEST AMAZON FINDS: 5 products I use every day.

Let me know in the comment section, what will be your next Amazon purchase?!

Until Next time

How to stay entertained at home: Amazon finds under $20

We can all agree that life has been pretty crazy and scary lately. COVID-19 is NO joke, you must stay home to protect yourself and others.

This is a hard time for everyone, people lost their jobs, run out of money and lose their sanity. I hope things get back to normal soon!

In the meantime, I am going to share with you some Amazon finds under $20 to stay entertained at home.

If you want to keep your mind busy during the confinement, keep reading.

BOARDGAMES

If you are home alone, you are probably telling yourself: “How does she want me to play board games by myself?!” Well, you are right, you can’t! But you could call some friends or family, use Facetime and “if they have the game at home as well”, I believe it’s possible to make it happen!

MEME THE GAME “DISNEY EDITION “- $20

WHAT DO YOU MEME is one of my favorite board games ever! This is ridiculously fun, and you will laugh A LOT.

You need to be at least 3 players. One would be the judge and the two others will have to make the most hilarious meme with the cards they’ll get, to make the judge laugh.

I won’t bother trying to explain the rules, this is pretty easy, and it will take you 5 seconds to understand.

THE DISNEY EDITION is kid-friendly and perfect for a family game night!

CODENAMES – 15$

The spymaster says, “Hot: 2“. Can you find the 2 words related to HOT that win the game?

This is exactly what the sentence on the game’s box says, and there is no better explanation to understand what’s the game about!

The two rival spymasters know the secret identities of 25 agents. Their teammates know the agents only by their CODENAMES.

The teams compete to see who can make contact with all of their agents first. Spymasters give one-word clues that can point to multiple words on the board. Their teammates try to guess words of the right color while avoiding those that belong to the opposing team. And everyone wants to avoid the assassin.

Want to stay entertained while being at home? You need this game!!

COLORING BOOKS AND GEL PENS

When I get tired of watching TV or get frustrated, I take my coloring book and gel pens and I color for hours!

I do believe that coloring is helping your mind to relax and make your stress go away.

I found my coloring book at MICHAELS, but I realized it was also for sale on AMAZON for only $13!!

My coloring book’s called MAGICAL JUNGLE by Johanna Basford. I love her coloring books because it’s easy to color and the graphics are seriously gorgeous.

My next purchase from her coloring book’s collection will be LOST OCEAN!

I own a set of 240 GEL PENS (call me crazy) only because I love to have tons of color options! Got this set for about $32 but you can start with 100 GEL PENS for $16.99

PUZZLES

I used to think that making puzzles was extremely boring!

Then I’ve got my first Disney Puzzle for Christmas 2 years ago and got OBSESSED!

I love that it takes me so long to put together a 750 pieces.

I do love taking my time, but you don’t want to lose any pieces! Get yourself a rolling mat if you are too scared that it might happen.

I have 2 Disney puzzles that I need to redo and glue together. It would be awesome to frame them!

PAINT BY DIAMOND

Don’t have any of those but DANG! That sounds like fun! I helped a friend making one once, and know I want to order and make every single one of them.

This is super entertaining and very cute. I am about to purchase two!

When they will be complete, I’ll frame them and hang them in my office.

Hopefully, I gave you some ideas on how to stay entertained at home, with those super cheap and fun Amazon finds.

Don’t hesitate to share those ideas with your friends, make them buy the board games to play online and let me know what you bought to stay entertained at home.

Stay safe, stay home and have fun.

3 SELF-DEVELOPMENT BOOKS TO READ DURING SOCIAL DISTANCING

Hi Guys, the world is getting crazy scary around us and we need as much distraction as possible. So, today, I want to share with you 3 self-development books to read during social distancing due to Coronavirus.

If a couple of years ago you would have told me: You need to read those books about self-development, I would have laughed at your face! But guess what? I was wrong.

So, here are 3 books I read and LOVED.

  1. YOU ARE BADASS
  2. YOU ARE BADASS AT MAKING MONEY
  3. UNFU*K YOURSELF

Those 3 self-development books are about to change your thoughts, boost your mood and probably change the way you live your life while social distancing.

YOU ARE BADASS & YOU ARE BADASS AT MAKING MONEY

As you can probably tell, YOU ARE BADASS books are from the same author: Jen Sincero.

Both books, worth your time reading or listening to them. For the record, I’ve listened to those books while driving to work or every time I was going to be on a long car ride using AUDIBLE.

AUDIBLE is Amazon’s audiobook platform. I usually do not like listening to books because I love having a book in my hands and touching paper (call me: weird) but when it’s an inspirational/motivational kind of book, it’s pleasing, to listening to it, like a podcast.

I like the fact that most of the time, the author is the narrator. It feels like you have a better understanding of the author’s message.

If you want to feel successful, accomplished, kick-ass at life or if you want to know all the secrets about how to freaking move your butt and make an insane amount of money?! YOU NEED to read those books.

Here is the synopsis of both books:

YOU ARE BADASS: In this refreshingly entertaining how-to guide, bestselling author and world-traveling success coach, Jen Sincero, serves up 27 bite-sized chapters full of hilariously inspiring stories, sage advice, easy exercises, and the occasional swear word, helping you to: Identify and change the self-sabotaging beliefs and behaviors that stop you from getting what you want, create a life you love. And create it NOW, Make some damn money already. The kind you’ve never made before.

By the end of You Are a Badass, you’ll understand why you are how you are, how to love what you can’t change, how to change what you don’t love, and how to use The Force to kick some serious ass.

YOU ARE BADASS AT MAKING MONEY: will launch you past the fears and stumbling blocks that have kept financial success beyond your reach. Drawing on her transformation—over just a few years—from a woman living in a converted garage with tumbleweeds blowing through her bank account to a woman who travels the world in style, Jen Sincero channels the inimitable sass and practicality that made You Are a Badass an indomitable bestseller. She combines hilarious personal essays with bite-size, aha concepts that unlock earning potential and get real results.

UNFU*CK YOURSELF

UNFU*K YOURSELF has been my favorite book to listen to.

Everything this book is mentioning is true and freaks you out (in a good way). It will make you realize, how your thoughts are controlling your head and your actions.

After listening to it, I started to try to control the way I was thinking. When I get negative thoughts, I have to remember: I am NOT MY THOUGHTS, I AM MY ACTIONS!

If you are struggling with: what is going on in your head or negative thoughts, then this book will change your mindset.

SYNOPSIS:

Are you tired of feeling f*cked up? If you are, Gary John Bishop has the answer. In this straightforward handbook, he gives you the tools and advice you need to demolish the slag weighing you down and become the truly unf*cked version of yourself.

“Wake up to the miracle you are,” he directs. “Here’s what you’ve forgotten: You’re a f*cking miracle of being.” It isn’t other people that are standing in your way; it isn’t even your circumstances that are blocking your ability to thrive. It’s yourself and the negative self-talk you keep telling yourself.

I hope you guys enjoy today’s blog post.

Let me know If you buy, download in your kindle or listen to any of these books thanks to audible!

Please stay safe and don’t forget to wash your hands!

Happy reading day, and until next time. xoxo
