Basically, the keyword explorer will tell you if your video will rank on YouTube with a specific keyword or keyphrase, AKA your video title.

3- HOW I USE TUBEBUDDY KEYWORD RESEARCH FOR YOUTUBE
Here is how:
So, first, I will think about the video I want to film.Â
Then, I will write down a couple of video title ideas.
To make sure what I wrote will help me rank on YouTube, I open the TubeBuddy Browser extension and go directly into Keyword Explorer to start my research.

Keyword Research
From there, I start tapping my potential title.
On this image, TubeBuddy keyword explorer is telling me that this keyword won’t work out for me.
Why? Because despite the excellent Search volume for this specific keyword, the competition is way too high!Â
Therefore, my small YouTube Channel won’t make it.
In another word, I won’t rank for this keyword
SPECIFIC KEYWORD SEARCH
So, we already know that this keyword won’t make my video blow up!
Now, I will be more specific.Â
I have to make sure my keyphrase is searchable but don’t have too much competition.
In this screenshot, you can see that the Keyword as an overall score “good”
So, being specific worked.Â
Instead of going for a productive day in my life, I went for a productive day when working from home.
I could use this keyword but I want to go further, I need to find a keyword with an excellent score!

4- THE PERFECT KEYWORD RESEARCH
Here is how on Keyword Explorer
So, once you know you are going in the right direction using the keyword explorer.
You need to try out different titles.
I decided to be more specific, or at least I thought about what would people search for, in this particular topic
And I came up with “work from home and stay productive”
And, it worked.

The search volume and competition looks perfect.
I could go with an excellent score keyword if I used “work from home and stay productive in 2021” but the search volume is “fair”.
So, I will stick to the first one, and will write my video title using this keyword!
