BEST TIPS TO MAKE YOUR OWN LIGHTROOM PRESET
Creating your own lightroom preset can be overwhelming. I believe if you are here, it’s because you are curious and need answers. So, here are the best tips to make your own lightroom preset.
I am going to tell you everything you need to know to help you create your first Lightroom preset!

1- GO BACK TO THE BASICS
Before we start, I suggest to go back to the basics.
What I mean is to make sure you understand correctly Lightroom Mobile.

2- GET INSPIRED
Try to look at people’s creations. Get Inspired by all the lightroom presets out there.
You can find inspiration from another lightroom preset.
However, don’t try to copy something that has already been made.
Either you want to sell your work or keep it for yourself. You need to create something unique and different.
3- START WORKING ON YOUR LIGHTROOM PRESET
My first tip is to select three pictures with different lighting from your photo library.
One super bright, another one that is not too bright or not too dark and the last one must be darker.
That way, you will be able to see if your preset will match with different exposure!
My second tip is to work on your lightroom preset with colorful pictures.
You are going to play with Hue, Saturation, and luminance. You need to be able to see what kind of result, changing colors will bring to your pictures.
4- IMPORTANT THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
Number one:
You can make presets that will crop your pictures automatically.
Choose to crop them as a square or to the 4:5 format recommended for Instagram posts.
That will save you some precious time.
Number 2:
Try your presets on multiple pictures.
Put those pictures side by side to see if your preset will give your Instagram feed the look you were looking for.

5- SAVE YOUR LIGHTROOM PRESET
After applying your settings and completed your preset. It’s time to save your hard work.
On Lightroom, you can make as many presets as you want. You can save them in a folder and rename them all.
To do so, you will have to:
1- Tap on the 3 dots on the top right corner and select create preset.
2- Choose the name of your preset. Try to find a name that describes your preset the most.
3- Select a preset group AKA a folder, or create one.
4- Make sure every square is selected.
And you are done! You made and saved your first Lightroom preset! Congrats.
