How to schedule Instagram posts using Tailwind

You are probably wondering, how do I plan Instagram posts with TAILWIND? I thought Tailwind was only for Pinterest.

Well, Tailwind recently extended their amazing tool for you to be able to plan your Instagram posts.

And, this is pretty amazing.

So, let’s dive right into how to schedule your Instagram posts using Tailwind.

1- CREATE YOUR FREE TAILWIND ACCOUNT

Here is how:

So, if you are new to Tailwind, you need to start by creating a free account.

Click here to start.

When your account is created, your free trial starts.

So, your free trial will include 30 Instagram posts.

Once, you published your 30 Instagram posts through the app. The free trial ends!

Tailwind for Instagram is $14.99 billed monthly or $119.88 billed annually.

2- INSTAGRAM PLUS TAILWIND PUBLISHER

So, once you’ve entered the tool, you will end up directly in the “Publisher”.

You will have access to two tabs. Your drafts and your scheduled posts.

On the side, you can see your grid, meaning your Instagram feed. (You will have to connect your Instagram).

Draft

So, “drafts” is where you want to start scheduling your posts.

Therefore, you will have to upload pictures, graphics, or videos you want to share on Instagram.

This is your starting point.

Now, you might have already figured that the tab “scheduled” is your scheduled posts.

So, in this tab your will find the post that already have a caption, hashtags, and all.

3- HOW TO SCHEDULE INSTAGRAM POSTS USING TAILWIND

Here is how:

So, after you downloaded your content into your drafts, select the content you wish to start editing, meaning writing caption and all.

After clicking on the content, you are entering into the “create” part.

So, you will be able to write your caption and find relevant hashtags.

Tailwind helps you find really good hashtags that will help with your reach.

Then, you can choose the auto-post method or notifications.

Basically, Tailwind will help you write your Instagram posts by showing you some inspirations, question you can ask your followers, etc.

4- WHEN TO POST?

So, the best part of Tailwind Instagram Plus is that they give you the right day and time to posts after looking at your analytics and your audience.

Therefore, you don’t have to struggle to find the right time to post anymore.

Once your caption is writing and your hashtags set up.

Schedule your post at the RIGHT TIME, for a better chance of reach.

5- WHAT TO DO AFTER YOUR POSTS ARE SCHEDULED?

So, you’ve scheduled a couple of posts already.

Now, what?

What about looking at how your feed is going to look and see if you like what you see.

So, go into schedule posts, on the side, tap on “preview your grid”.

If you don’t like it, move your posts around until it matches your expectation and/or aesthetic.

This is not a secret! To grow your Instagram or Pinterest account, you need to be active on the platform, meaning you need to start using those 3 social media scheduling tools.

Scheduling your posts and pins, ahead of time will let you the opportunity to focus on engaging with your followers and create more content.

I used to use NOTE on my iPhone, to write a quick caption on a picture I wanted to share on Instagram.

I always shared the post I just have written because I didn’t know any better.

Now, every time I take a good picture to post on Instagram, I edit it, transfer it to my scheduling tool, write a caption, and look for the relevant hashtags to finally schedule the post for the following week!

Same with Pinterest! I used to do EVERYTHING manually!!

Nowadays, my Pinterest scheduler does everything for me and this is LIFE CHANGING.

Here are the 3 social media scheduling tools, you need to start using.

TAILWIND

Let’s start with my favorite scheduling tool: Tailwind!

You need to know that I am a newbie with this social media scheduler, but I love it.

I don’t know about you, but I heard so many good things about this scheduling tool that I needed to try.

BIG PROS: Tailwind is an official Pinterest & Instagram Partner, so you can rest easy knowing your account is safe.

BIG CONS: I only use Tailwind for Pinterest! Why? Because for ONE SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM, Tailwind is charging you $14.99/month. If I want to add Instagram, I will have to pay an extra $14.99/month.

I went on their website, and start the one-month free trial.

I found myself a little bit lost at first, but Tailwind walks through everything you need to know with quick videos.

I learned I could pin 25 pins a day in 10 minutes. As well as scheduling the same pin multiple times, with interval days and optimized time, to different boards that will increase traffic to my website!

I also learned a lot about Tailwind Tribes, smart loop, and Pinterest analytics.

After using Tailwind for a month, I have seen a big increase in my Pinterest followers as well as my website traffic.

This is when I decided to go for it!

When my free trial ended, I SIGNED UP FOR TAILWIND PLUS!

Side note: Tailwind does have an App for your phone, but this is nothing compared to the desktop version.

I have been using Later for a while, and this is by far my favorite Instagram Scheduler!

Like Tailwind, Later is an Instagram and Pinterest partner, so once again your account is safe.

BIG PROS: Later has a FREE FOREVER PLAN, meaning you can use the App for free for one profile, and publish 30 posts per social media platform, per month (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.) However, with the free version, you can’t schedule videos!

BIG CONS: Even if you can schedule posts for multiple platforms, I’ve seen myself only using Later for Instagram. I tried to use Later with Pinterest, but it wasn’t as efficient and fast as Tailwind.

Things I love about Later:

I paid only $9 per month (Definitely affordable)
There is a preview option, drag and drop to make sure your feed is looking good
You can schedule your posts on your desktop and on your phone (The App is nice)
Write caption with blank break and, find the relevant hashtags for your photos is extremely EASY
Auto publish, (YOU DO NOT DO ANYTHING), your account needs to be a business account

It won’t auto-publish with a personal or creator account.

PREVIEW APP

The preview app is the first scheduling tool, I downloaded on my iPhone.

At first, I wasn’t using the app to schedule posts. I was using it, to see if the pictures I wanted to post were about to “Look good” beside each other. I wanted my feed to be aesthetically pleasing!

What I would do is edit every single picture and video I wanted to post on Instagram and then, drag them to see what would look the best.

Then, I started to use the Preview App to write notes on each post.

I ended up using it to schedule every single one of my posts on Instagram.

BIG PROS: The preview app is 100% FREE! You can schedule ahead of time, as many pictures, carousels, and videos as you want. Write your caption, find your hashtags, schedule a date and a time, and DONE.
